Welcome back, y’all! Stacey Kennedy is one of my favorite people.

She has an all-around Zen vibe that makes her fun to talk to and a ball to “sprint” with. (Writer talk for focusing exclusively on writing words for a short specified period of time.) Plus, she writes some sexy, kick-ass books! Since she’s a Canadian girl, I don’t get to see her as much as I’d like, but we had an awesome dinner together at RWA Denver in July and I always look forward to the next time I see her.

Name a movie you’ve seen at least five times and why it’s a favorite.

The Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. It’s my go-to-feel-good movie that I watch a few times a year. It has everything that I love in a story—family, drama, love, healing, and friendship. It’s stories like this one that inspired me to write.

What does your work space look like?

I do all of my writing surrounded by lazy animals. Meet Murphy, the laziest Labrador Retriever in the history of Labrador’s. If it’s not Murphy being my writing buddy, it’s our mini-labradoodle, Jax, or our two cats, Georgia and Kiki. The good…my days are full of so much love. The bad…how can you say no to this face? Well, I can’t, and I end up kissing their faces instead of writing.

Describe your ideal romantic evening.

I’m pretty easy where it comes to romance. Give me a starry sky, chocolate and wine, and I’ll be putty in your hands.

What's your newest release?

Newest release is SWEET-LOVING COWBOY, a best friend's little sister, forbidden love, H-O-T cowboy. It’s the second book in my KINKY SPURS series but can be read as a standalone.
