Let's end out Guest of the Month spots for the year with someone I've really enjoyed getting to know in 2018! From the 1,001 Dark Nights cruise in January to our retreat in June, ending with our last hug of the year at Shameless, Laurelin Paige is someone I always look forward to seeing. She's smart and witty and a recent Texas transplant! Hope you enjoy this interview.
Please welcome Laurelin Paige…
Name a movie you’ve seen at least five times and why it’s a favorite.
I just made my oldest sit down to watch Fight Club. It’s been awhile since I’d seen it, but I’ve definitely seen it enough times to have it memorized (I was surprised how many lines I still knew!). I love stories with false narratives, especially when you don’t see it coming, and the acting from both Edward Norton and Helena Bonham Carter is sublime. Plus David Fincher is a really exciting director. He visually knows how to pull an audience in.
List five adjectives you’d use to describe yourself.
Bossy, stubborn, compassionate, moody, creative.
Name one funny/quirky trait you have others may not know about.
Time on digital clocks is meaningless to me. I have to convert it to an analog clock so I can picture the pie amount from one time to the time I have to be somewhere. The size of the pie is what is meaningful to me.
Caffeine of choice: tea, coffee, or soda?
I used to be a huge coffee drinker but stopped with caffeine all together this summer during a cleanse. Now I have an occasional diet coke.
What does your work space look like?
Describe your ideal romantic evening.
Being left alone to read a sexy book for a few hours? LOL
Where is your bucket-list vacation?
Italy! Going next year!
What is something you cherish for its sentimental value?
Plotter or pantser and why? I like to outline and then pants a bit so I call myself a pantyliner. 😉 I like to know where the story is going so I can build the necessary character arcs, but I like to leave enough surprises to keep me engaged while I’m writing.
What music are you listening to? Do you play it while you write?
I listen to a lot of indie folk while I write. It’s simple so it doesn’t distract me but it’s also soothing.
What's your next release?
Sweet Liar (Feb. 26, 2019) and Sweet Fate (March 26, 2019), my brand new duet in the Dirty Universe. It’s a May/December, opposites attract storyline, and I’m so in love with the characters. I think readers are really going to love it.
Last but not least, what’s YOUR Shayla Black kiss?
Hot and wet with Seth Cooper

With over 1.7 million books sold world wide, Laurelin Paige is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling Author. She is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She's also a proud member of Mensa International though she doesn't do anything with the organization except use it as material for her bio. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman.
