Welcome back, everyone! This month, I’m interviewing my good friend and Doms of Her Life series writing partner, Jenna Jacob! This girl is an amazing author and I can’t imagine my life without her in it. I hope you enjoy the interview with Jenna!

Name one funny/quirky trait you have others may not know about.

Jenna: I’m totally confessing how crazy I am – which probably won’t surprise you at all—but when I’m home and someone says something, I usually break into song. For example if someone says: “Wake me up at…” I’ll start singing: “Wake me up before you go go, don’t leave me hanging on goin’ solo. Wake me up—” It drives my kids nuts!!

Where is your bucket list vacation?

Jenna: Alaska. Which is totally crazy for someone who HATES the cold, but I’m dying to see the Aurora Borealis, just once.

What is something you cherish for its sentimental value?

Jenna: My Great Grandmother’s cameo necklace. It’s tiny, but the ivory his hand carved and so is the gold filigree that surrounds it. 

What music are you listening to? Do you play it while you write?

Jenna: I listen to pretty much everything except country and rap. I’m stuck in the past and mostly listen to 70’s and 80’s gut-wrenching, heart-breaking love songs. They’re the perfect background tunes to write with. (Thank you Shayla for teaching me how to wean myself off instrumentals and actually listen to something with words! LOL)

Jenna: “Until I can’t think straight – with none other than Dr. Ken “Beck” Beckman. (Pretty appropriate if you think about it. LOL)
