I received a call from the National Readers’ Choice Awards competition earlier this week. They called to say that WICKED TIES is a finalist for best erotic romance of the year! The winner will be announced on July 31 at the RWA National convention in San Francisco. I’m crossing my fingers and toes!

WICKED TIES is a finalist in Passionate Ink’s Passionate Plume contest for published authors, in the category of best erotic contemporary romance of 2007! Winners will be announced in July, but I’m thrilled because this contest is judged largely by librarians, readers and booksellers. Just wow!

Yesterday, my Pocket editor and I hammered out new titles for Doomsday Brethren books 2 and 3. October 2009, you’ll have SEDUCE ME IN SHADOW and November 2009 will bring POSSESS ME AT MIDNIGHT. I’m really thrilled with the new titles. Um…now I just need to start writing.

Ellora’s Cave sent me a tentative release date for this book today — May 28! On the DB&TT page, I also added a NEW excerpt. Check in out…

I turned in my revisions of TEMPT ME WITH DARKNESS to Pocket on Wednesday. On Friday, we agreed to do 2 more Doomsday Brethren titles back-to-back in October and November 2009! I can’t wait to share this series! For a sneak peek, see my Feb. 14 blog post. This does mean a delay in DELICIOUS (Luc), but I plan to be back with this series just as soon as I can.

The Shayla Black site is getting an overhaul! Sometime in February, you’ll see a whole new look for ShaylaBlack.com and my blog. The new digs will be moody, a little spooky and a little sexy all at once. Stay tuned!

DANGEROUS BOYS AND THEIR TOY is finished and went off to my editor at Ellora’s cave right around New Year’s Day. Look for a late spring or summer release!
